The quartet was organized in 1999 and the members are from Freehold, Howell and New Egypt NJ.
The quartet members are Jack Mitchell (Lead), Gerry Surgent (Tenor), Joe Pate (Bass) and Ed Wlazlowski (Baritone). Jack is also the director of the Monmouth Battleground Chorus and Ed the assistant director.
All have many years of membership in the society with Jack having 40 + years. Jack has sung in many quartets, and we all wonder why, but he has stuck with Out 'N About for all these years. Before joining this quartet Jack also sang with the Chord Consturction Company quartet and Joe with Four On The Town. Gerry and Ed sang with a comedy quartet called Sounds Familiar, a quartet that was renowned for their many parodies and the ultra humourous Dr.Dr. Routine. All four men have truly enjoyed the quartet experiences they have had, and continue to have.
